Refund and Returns Policy

At ToysV, we stand behind the quality of our premium RC gears and drones. We want you to be thrilled with your purchase. However, we understand that sometimes things don’t work out. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for returns, refunds, and exchanges.

1. 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee

You have 30 calendar days from the date your order is delivered (based on the shipping carrier’s tracking timestamp) to request a return. If 30 days have passed since delivery, unfortunately, we cannot offer you a refund or exchange.

2. Critical Policy for Hobby-Grade Products ⚠️

We sell hobby-grade equipment that requires technical knowledge. Please read carefully:

  • The “Bench Test” Rule: We require you to perform a “bench test” (checking electronics, motors, and controls without flying or driving) immediately upon arrival.
  • No Returns on Used Items: If the product has been flown or driven and the issue appears to be due to normal wear, crashes, or misuse, it is not eligible for a refund. We are happy to help you troubleshoot problems or recommend spare parts.
  • Crash Damage: We do not cover crash damage, loss of product due to pilot error, water exposure, or damage caused by improper maintenance. These are not considered factory defects.

3. Eligibility for General Returns

To be eligible for a return (for reasons other than a factory defect), your item must meet the following criteria:

  • Condition: The item must be unused, unmodified, and in the same condition that you received it.
  • Packaging: It must be in the original packaging with all seals, accessories, manuals, batteries, and protective films intact.
  • Proof: A receipt or Order ID is required.

4. Dead on Arrival (DOA) & Factory Defects

If your item arrives damaged or is non-functional straight out of the box (Dead on Arrival):

  • Please contact us at [email protected] within 48 hours of delivery(or as soon as reasonably possible).
  • Provide photos or a short video demonstrating the issue.
  • Resolution: For verified DOA items, we will provide a prepaid shipping label and send you a brand-new replacement or issue a full refund, including shipping costs.

5. Buyer’s Remorse (Changed Mind)

If you simply changed your mind or ordered the wrong item:

  • You are responsible for the return shipping costs.
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable. If you received free shipping on your order, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted from your refund.
  • A 15% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund to cover inspection, cleaning, and repackaging costs. (We fee this to ensure the next enthusiast gets a perfect product).

6. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Batteries (LiPo/Li-Ion) if the safety seal has been broken or charged/cycled (due to safety regulations).
  • Gift cards.
  • Downloadable software products.
  • Hazardous materials, or flammable liquids or gases.

7. Refused Shipments

If you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us as soon as possible before it ships. If you refuse delivery for reasons other than visible shipping damage(for reasons other than the package being visibly destroyed), you will be responsible for the original shipping charges, the return shipping costs, and the restocking fee. These amounts will be deducted from your refund.

8. The Return Process (RMA)

Do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer.

  1. Request: Email our support team at [email protected] with your Order ID and reason for return.
  2. Approval: If your request is approved, we will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and the specific US warehouse address.
  3. Ship: Pack the item securely. Return Shipping Liability: You are responsible for the item until it reaches our warehouse. We strongly recommend using a trackable shipping service and purchasing shipping insurance for items over $75. ToysV is not responsible for lost or damaged return packages.

9. Refunds & Partial Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 2-5 business days):

  • We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  • Approved: A credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5-10 business days.
  • Partial Refunds: We reserve the right to grant only partial refunds (or reject the return) for items that are returned with obvious signs of use, missing parts, or damaged packaging not due to our error.

10. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet:

  1. Check your bank account again.
  2. Contact your credit card company; it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.
  3. If you’ve done all of this and you still have not received your refund yet, please contact us at [email protected].
